Our One Year Family Pictures

April 10, 2017 By Lauren

Caleb turned one at the end of February, and I’ve been itching to capture the joy of this stage with some fun pictures since then.  Fortunately for me, my college bestie Haley flew out and we were able to take advantage of her amazing photography skills in a little family photo shoot.  Haley has documented so many parts of our lives, including our proposal and engagement pictures, parts of our wedding,  our pregnancy announcement, our maternity photos, Caleb’s newborn pictures, and some fun six month photos.  Seriously, this girl’s the bomb and you should check out her blog/website if you get the chance!

I love love love how these pictures turned out.  Even though we just popped over to a random field and trail by our house, Haley managed to make them look sunny and magical.

How handsome are my boys, y’all?!  There’s nothing more adorable than a boy and his daddy!

Pictures like these ones of me and my boy make my heart so full.  Even though his clingy moments drive me a little crazy sometimes, I love the way he feels snuggled on my hip where I can nuzzle his soft little head and smell that sweet baby smell.  I never want to forget that.

Caleb still isn’t walking on his own yet, but he loves to walk holding on to our hands or a walker.  Lately he’s been standing on his own and I have a feeling he’ll be walking before we know it! I love how his sweet little fingers are holding on so tightly to our hands in this series.

These next ones capture Caleb in all his silliness.  He loves picking up random things and offering them to us with an inquisitive squawk or squeal and these capture that so well!

And of course, we couldn’t resist throwing in something KC since this kid will be Kansas City born and raised!

This next one will be perfect for when there’s a bad call during Royals season…

These next ones will be framers for sure.  I love how they capture our little family!

We are so grateful to the one and only Haley George for capturing this season of our life with such beautiful photos.  If you live anywhere near Nashville you definitely need to check out her site and get some pretty pictures taken of your own family!

These are so cute! I love the idea of taking family photos at one year. It’s such a cute age, but it’s also a great way to commemorate making it through the first year of life with your new little. My baby is 8 months old right now and I’m planning on doing a family photo shoot around his first birthday as well.
